Madan Gurdial, MS Ed., Broker Owner, Global Village Realty

I was born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. My interest in homes and architecture started young. From age 12 to 17, while my parents rented a home, I helped my father (and a few hired hands) construct from the foundation up, their first home. In the process I got to learn about masonry, plumbing, electricity, carpentry and landscaping. Most importantly, I gained respect and appreciation for what a HOME stands for. For High School graduation I design the stage to resemble the Parthenon, including the round columns, multiple roof lines, water fountains and fire pits.
In 1988 I graduated from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez with a BA in General Psychology. Moved to Kissimmee and did the "3 years of Hospitality/Food/Beverage required to be an adopted Floridian". In 1993 completed my Master of Arts Degree in Counseling at NOVA SE University. Worked 13 years as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, assisting 1,000's of people dealing with depression, anxiety and other conditions. For 5 years worked as director of MH services at CENTAUR serving persons living with HIV. I'm also certified by the State of Florida to provide Batterer's Intervention Services.
My career in Real Estate began in 2004. Passed the licensure test on my first seating (few agents can say that!), and began to work with a small boutique operation operated by a dear friend. On my first year I outsold "the average FL agent" 3 to 1.
2006 I became a Commissioned Florida Signing Agent - Notary.
2007 - Joined Coldwell Banker Ackley Realty.
2007 - Became a Osceola County Association of Realtors "Certified Real Estate Profesional"
